A workshop was an experimentation to take forms out of an existing film, taking in and out the things in between enigma <art form> and real thing <image on the movie screen we can see> to create a work. “Limits of Control” (2009) by Jim Jarmusch was selected as a reference film.

The attendants were students and business persons relating architecture and art and they made works interpreting the metaphors, references and meaning in depth in the film as ‘ the site’ with assistance by CAT staff. At the end of the day, their proposals inspired by the meaning of miscommunication and threshold, a work of light representing a labyrinth, an installation inspired by James Turrel and Junichiro Tanizaki’s ‘In Praise of Shadow’ were presented followed by a discussion.
