Visiting Workshop in Takaoka: For the Sake of Anyone Who We Might Not Have Seen Yet Season 01
Facing at Japan [East] Sea, Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture has been known for industry and commerce and it is also becoming popular as a place of culture not only for literature of fantasy like Kyoka Izumi, Saisei Murou and Yuko Tsuno but also for filming location for many films of youth and romance recently. We must wonder if there should be any reason.
The workshop is a three-day programme in which all the attendants bring their favourite things based on the city such as films, anime, novels, poems, mangas or even music to interpret liberally and to discuss their fascination, comparing them with real places then we try to expose the hints for the urban planning and the vision of the city by assembling these so-called subculture materials architecturally. We get together from in and around Takaoka City to make things. It has a gathering and a film-location tour so it’ll be a creative, exciting and fantastic moment. Why not come to Toyama prefecture in autumn to join us?
